Around seven o’clock this morning our alarm system alerted us of multiple sensors detecting smoke in our building, followed by several reports of flames coming from the roof. Many of you have seen the videos and pictures circulating online. It felt (and still feels) like a nightmare.

First and foremost, we want to thank our first responders, firefighters, and emergency personnel- Andrew County and St. Joseph teams were incredible. Thanks to their swift action and clearly impeccable training no one was injured which we are so thankful for.

​

Second, a huge thank you to the hundreds who have reached out to offer support after today’s events.

The building is extensively damaged, so, in the coming weeks we will be working with various resources in clean up efforts and developing our plan for the future.

​

Next year will be B&J Skate Center’s 50th year as a family entertainment staple in the community - we are proud to be a part of so many of your memories. We will do everything we can to keep the good times rollin’.
